Sacred Heart Unity Cup 2019

The youth of Don Bosco, Yerwada, Pune organized a ‘Football and Throw ball Tournament’ for youngsters and adults with a view to build up social bonding and unity among them. On 30th November, the Don Bosco Complex Ground, Yerwada was filled with enthusiastic and vibrant players competing in a dawn-dusk Football and Throw ball tournament. Fr. Stanley, the Youth Director of the Pune Diocese inaugurated the Tournament. He motivated each youngster participating in the tournament and exhorted each one to keep the spirit of the game. The sportsman’s oath was taken by the youngsters and Fr. Michael, the parish priest then soon declared the Tournament open. 19 football teams and 6 throwball teams participated in the competitive tournament from different parishes and Christian institutions of Pune. St. Patrick’s Parish emerged victorious in the Throwball tournament and Sacred Heart Parish claimed the trophy for Football. We sincerely thank our generous benefactors for their support to the Tournament. Kudos to the youth group for the efforts put in, in making this Tournament a successful and memorable one!!
